colsoop
I take it that no-one actually saw what happened? I was about half a mile behind the copnvoy and saw the whole accident and was the first on the scene of the accident. The black car overtook on the corner and had just about squeezed back on to the right side of the road when the mondeo driver panicked and swerved viciously on to the kerb and then just spun out just missing the 200 sx, He came flying down the road and went up the grass verge and got wedged on a tree and rocks. I stopped a few metres away from the guy and went over to assist. I opened his door and he was out cold lying their without his seatbelt on !! I shouted to one of the guys to phone an ambulanbce, he then came to and shouted quite nervously "no ambulance" I then said we should get the police to bring a truck to remove you from the verge. again he replied "no police" Then the rest of the convoy returned to us and i got covered in pricks trying to jump on the prickly tree that he was wedged on and we removed him from the verge he drove off to a layby. Not much else could be done, he didn't want the police he didn't want an ambulance something was a little off about the guy.

Considering I was going to keep the car stock I came away with along list of wants! Bugger! When the car's in Lincoln, it looks great - everybody looks. When it was parked next to everybody's yesterday, it looked remarkably ordinary!!! So, Racing Harts (19") on the list - 30-35mm drop . . . . and on we go! Next year it will look something like! SimonP
any times for supras. was it a good day with weather The weather was great - but the RWYB organisation was very poor! I joined the queue to sign on for the RWYB at around 8.30am with about 40-50 people in front of me, got signed on around 9.00am and got the car into the staging lanes around 9.30. The track was damp from overnight rain so the track had to be dried and prepped so it was not open until 10.30am - an hour late. I got my first run at around 11.00. I got a poor launch and has serious wheel spin at around half track (where the traction compound ran out!) and only ran 13.510 secs @ 112.76. By this time the queue for the RWYB was back past the finish ie over 1/4 mile long! It was 12.30 pm before I got my next run. I got a better launch (0-60ft in 2.083 secs) and ran 12.554 secs @ 115.91 mph. I join the queue again but did not get my last run until 2.40pm due to the lunch break and an oil down. On this run I got and excellent launch (0-60ft in 2.0002 secs) but screwed up the 1-2 gear change and ran 12.961 secs @ 113.94mph. I finally got the car parked up by around 3.00pm - so I spent most of the day in the car and did not see much of the racing! In the Pro Shootout Dee Ireland in the CRD Supra ran an awesome 9.867 secs @ 144.17 mph but damaged the gear box in the process and could not run in eliminations. Mark Biggers won the Toyota/Lexus RWYB class in his Supra with 11.555 secs @ 127.44 mph. Most of the other Supra's were running in the 13's - traction was problem all day but I did see one other Supra (black) run a 12.9. Overall I was pleased with my best run and I also met a number of guys from the club - so not a bad day. Simon

Dude, i got into the que at 9:30, got just 4 people infront of me and they shut the door and didn't open till about 11:45 The que's for the track were a joke. Was it me or were they setting the cars off really slowly??
