Unable to turnover the car

Hi everyone,

Firstly just would like to go over a few things about what I've done and what I require assistance with or rather some answers or diagnostics to do.

Bought a jza80 shell that had a Sigma M30 connected via the driver side, Had connected up the engine loom, ecu and any other plugs to the dash etc

When the M30 was connected I could get the alarm to arm and disarm but could not get the engine to turnover, Having looked into removal of the M30 and wiring back to the OE harness the behaviour is still the same. When looking into the passenger side we (my friend and I) found a vague box connected above the junction box on the passenger side as can be seen here(Labelled as M6/87): image

We believe this is the immobilizer due to the two relays inside this box return back to a thatcham cat1/2 site which requires a login but we are unable to figure out what the OE wiring (wiring above the butt connectors) are linked too or rather go to. I believe this is stopping the fuel pump, starter and ignition to kick off. Looking into the JZA80 wiring diagram an original anti-theft unit is meant to be in place of this area, Having trying to take the dash apart we have found a door connector unit not plugged in with no socket for it to connect too from the body loom.

Wondering if anyone has an idea or rather a link to colour coded wiring diagram from the body harness as it appears that this is stopping us from getting the car to run.

We had checked the diagnostic panel in the engine bay to see if there are any CEL flashes but the CEL indication does not illuminate when on acc/on/start I believe looking into several other threads that the immobiliser is still triggered. Have checked the fuses on driver kick panel and engine bay. EFI Relay clicks from ACC to ON, Have tried different relays in the engine bay fuse box section with the same behaviour. Just tested a moment ago the CEL module for the dashboard does not power on which be be the main fault or a seperate issue. Does the car need all the dashboard items connected to turn over the car? e.g. heater controls, dimmer, hazard/odometer, tachometer, CEL etc.

If you require any additional information please let me know as we have taken a load of pictures before/during and after the removal of the Sigma M30 alarm system.

Many thanks

tl;dr sigma m30 alarm removed, immobilizer kicked in and wont power on the car

Edit: Was able to bypass the starter relay by plugging 3 - 5 switch directly but immediately it shorted out when negative was connected and would not reset until that jump cable was removed.

atleast my starter does jump a little haha.

Still on the agenda to figure out why the starter and fuel pump won't do anything when changing from 'ON to START', Found out that the 12v coming from the fuse section for the EFI blade section when changed from ACC to ON it goes from 0v to 12v which means that the immobiliser is not denying it to turn over I believe.

Gave up for today but will look deeper

Is the 10mm screw holding the harness connectors to the ecu in place?

Yes bolted down fully in place, have tried re-bolting it down fully but with no response sadly

It could simply be worn out brushes in the starter motor?

Try giving the starter motor a good knock with a piece of hardwood and a heavy hammer.

If the brushes are worn out, this can give enough contact to give one "start".

have bypassed the relay for the ST which appeared briefly to flick on for a few spins but killed power to the entire vehicle near immediately. But will try giving it a good whack haha

cheers
