drift_bear
Just seen this on their Instagram page, thought it would be good to share incase nobody else knew/seen it https://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=236796&stc=1&d=1593788849 Renowned Toyota racing outfit Tom’s has set up a rather unusual crowd-funding appeal. The goal? To fund a complete rebuild of one of its most famous cars which was recently rediscovered rusting away in a random Japanese warehouse. Link can be found HERE about the project Link can be found HERE for the donation/updates

m12aak
That's nice to see it being restored, I always wondered what happened to most of these old JGTC racing cars (especially after seeing that blue Supra abandoned at the front of that dealership). I think this car was the first Supra I saw (on Gran Turismo 3 though!), looking back on it now, it was always my favourite car to use in arcade mode, no wonder I've got one now! Might have to donate some, a certificate would be pretty cool. Thanks for posting, I probably wouldn't have seen it otherwise.
drift_bear
I’m trying to find out how to support it from out with japan, some of the things you get are pretty good! Could maybe be something the club could put something towards?
Hammer
As said, good find and thanks for posting it Alex as I probably wouldn't of seen it otherwise.
m12aak
I’m trying to find out how to support it from out with japan, some of the things you get are pretty good! Could maybe be something the club could put something towards? I've had a quick look, there doesn't appear to be an option to change the language, but I managed to open it in google translate. I've signed up to to the site, but I didn't go any further than that. A collective club donation sounds like a good idea!

I signed up as well, from what I’ve read/seen you need to message the creator and ask them. I’ve done this and will await a reply from TOM’s about it. If nothing comes to it I’ll speak to someone I know over in japan and do it that way instead

drift_bear
Think it’s more the chance to let people help get a piece of history back racing again and be involved More than just the generic “go fund me” style sites. Was a lot of people’s childhood car playing Gran Turismo in the PlayStation days so would be cool if you could help get that racing again (or is that just me ) Going by the site it’s going to be done regardless and the aim for using it next season for racing
jonc
Good luck to Tom's. A bit of Supra history right there. If I can decipher Japanese I will put some money in. Thanks to the OP for posting
