1000 fwhp clutch recommendations V161

Hi guys

Did a search but could not find anything relating to this power level since a post from 2012, so hopefully options have changed since then!

Car is a 6 speed V161, not daily driven but definitely a road car. I am not sure what torque I am going to end up with but we are going for circa 1000hp at the flywheel.

I was going to go for a Spec stage 3+ which is rated to 855lb/ft. I have a Spec stage 2+ at the moment with a Spec flywheel, so this is a fairly inexpensive option. But will it hold the power?

Do I need to spend £2-3k on a clutch? Should I be looking at a multi disc clutch? Someone suggested an RPS triple carbon one to me. At over triple the price of the Spec clutch (with a deal) is this overkill or a necessity? If the Spec will not cut it, are there options in the middle, for £1-2k that are any good?

If I change the clutch, can I keep my Spec flywheel?

I don't want anything that makes the car unpleasant to drive, and nasty noises do my head in. The Spec is a little grabby but I have got used to it and its fine, as it doesn't make much noise. It took a few hundred miles before reverse was easily engaged, but now its fine.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Karl :)
