Replacement Alarm Siren

Howdy folks,

It's been a while, hope everyone is well?

Quick question! Has anyone replaced just the siren on their alarm system? I have an old Clifford Concept system that's been on the car for around 15 years now! It works fine, but it seems that the actual siren has been sitting a bit too close to the turbo! It's basically melted everything in, and around, the siren so there is no longer any noise at all (sometimes a good thing with the sensitive proximity sensor).

Does anyone know if it's possible just to replace the siren? I've had a look around Amazon, Ebay etc, but it's hard to tell whether I will end up with a novelty truck horn or something!! It doesn't look like Clifford sell spare ones either, at least not from what I have found.

Thanks for any help!

Cheers!

Considering the price of a new alarm system relative to the value of your car, I'd personally just consider fitting a complete new alarm system. You simply won't know the extent of the damage to the wiring and thus, the main alarm unit until you've ripped it all out, and even then, unless you're an expert, you probably won't be able to tell if it's all in good working order.

You cannot be too safe these days...
