TheChancer Posted June 16, 2020 Share Posted June 16, 2020 Hey guys, New member/owner here I’m trying to get my UK spec TT through NCT (Ireland’s MOT) and I need a catalytic converter for the emissions test. Marty Posted June 16, 2020 Share Posted June 16, 2020 (edited) A jap spec second cat will fit a uk spec, it'll also likely pass with just the one fitted, most do. Homer Posted June 16, 2020 Share Posted June 16, 2020 It depends if you’re referring to the first or second cat. The first cat is different on the UK spec, it has a different bolt pattern. The second cat is the same, but as already mentioned above misses the 2nd O2 sensor. That said, the car should be able to pass the emissions test with only the second cat in.
