Afternoon All,

So Matt has been working flat out over the weekend and has now got the rear bumper and diffuser fitting nicely and primed for paint. Just waiting on the black mesh to arrive so I can drop that off for the diffuser. Hopefully it can then get painted ready to re-install once the shell is painted. Then we are on to re-assembly and me getting it back! :)

Check out the work at the rear quarter panels with the carbon lower section of the Ridox panel. Think the cut off and fade looks epic personally. The diffuser is not attached here, just held in place with the trolley jack.

Christ on a bike that’s a lot of work you have completed to date.

Really enjoyed looking through the progress you have made.

I bet your looking forward to getting the car back.

Makes my polish and wax the sills look extremely trivial indeed 😆

Thanks mate, has been a major undertaking for sure, but the results are going to be well worth it.

Really looking forward to getting it back, hoping to have it out for some shows later this year. Aim is ‘Go Japan’ at Brands Hatch which is on the 26th September. It has some more work booked and paid for at SRD Tuning, so fingers crossed it comes back from Matt soon.

Any work to help preserve and keep these icons working right and lasting longer is important mate, I’m looking forward to seeing your progress. :)

This is beautiful, very subtle which works well I think. Love the steering wheel too!

Many thanks. :)

Steering wheel trim arrived yesterday, here’s a sneak peek of it re-fitted and looking amazing!

Can’t wait to get this installed and the paddles wired up to replace the tiptronic buttons.

Morning All,

Got a nice video from Matt yesterday, he’s painted the rear bumper, door handles and fuel filler flap. :)

Just leaves the diffuser to paint and we should be left with just the shell to paint before re-assembly can begin in earnest.

Really excited now and that colour is sooo nice!

Afternoon All,

So another video today from Matt at M H Bodywork, diffuser, mirrors, TRD end pieces all painted and looking lovely. 🙂

That I believe is all the smaller stuff done now, so only the shell left to paint before we can start re-assembly. Can’t wait!

Love the two tone on the diffuser, pretty sure that’s another unique touch that should really pop when it’s all back together.

Enjoy your weekends all.

Afternoon All.

So had an update from Matt today, shell is prepped and ready to paint once we get some electrical work done on the 8th June. After that it should be all steam ahead with getting it re-assembled. Fingers crossed my new wheels arrive in time as had confirmation from Driftworks they are done, just waiting for next shipment and then they can be sent out to me. 🤞

Afternoon All,

So the electrics were done earlier this week, meaning the car was ready to paint. I wasn’t sure if Matt was going to tackle the shell today, but was super excited when he sent me this video earlier. 🙂

So nice to see the biggest piece in paint, means we are now getting very close to re-assembly and getting the car back to me to drive and enjoy.

Beautiful color!!! Cant wait to see it together.

Thank you both. 🙂

Have to say a huge thanks to Matt at M H Bodywork who not only painted the shell on Saturday, but was back in Sunday flatting and polishing it. He’s half way and have to say it’s looking amazing!

Getting so close to re-assembly now, can’t wait.

The blending work on those sill is unreal! looks amazing

Thank you mate, Matt has done such a good job on this, he is a real perfectionist and it shows now the shell is painted. The gaps, shaping and blending work are top notch, just so happy to see it all coming together. 🙂

It’s funny seeing the exhaust without the rear bumper on. Looks huge! Lol. Going to look so good when the rear bumper and TwinZ diffuser go on. Not to mention the tailgate with the TRD wing and my gorgeous rear lights that Harry Moore worked his magic on. Haven’t seen them since they went back in the box over a year ago, but hoping the reworked headlights are ready soon along with my new wheels. Had confirmation from Driftworks they are now built and waiting for the next shipment from Japan, so hopefully only a few weeks to go. 🤞

Afternoon All,

Popped over to see Matt and drop off my rear lights at lunchtime. Matt was kind enough to drive the car out into the sun for me to see the new colour in all it’s glory. Photos really don’t do it justice, but I snapped a few anyway.

Matt has a mate popping round today to hopefully get the tailgate, rear bumper and possibly the doors fitted. That way Matt can tackle the smaller/lighter jobs like fitting the rear lights and diffuser on his own.

It’s looking great and should be coming together pretty quickly now. 🙂
