Lee S
just wondering is it possible and is there a kit for fitting a super charger to a soop?
CJ
I suppose with enough money thrown at a project or with enough technical knowledge (or both) anything is possible. AFAIK, there is no commercial super charger kit available for the MKIV.
michael
'jagman' might be able to help you
CJ
'jagman' might be able to help you I am sure he will...be he hasn't as yet finished his system and tested it. If it does work (and is of a commerically acceptable price) he will make a killing!

tbourner
Why would you want to supercharge a turbo car? Unless your planning on reviving group B rallies!!

CJ
Why would you want to supercharge a turbo car? Unless your planning on reviving group B rallies!! You would run it in conjunction with the turbo and get immediate boost off the line - no lag
Nick
Arnout is also doing a similar project.

tbourner
Is there any way of gearing a supercharger? So it runs higher boost at low revs, then lower gearing at high revs so the boost doesn't go up and up to silly amounts? Or maybe even just disconnect it after 3000 revs or whatever and let the turbo(s) come online.

Yes, but both Arnout and Jagman are developing their systems based around a single turbo car.
