Big Mark
Noticed that my passenger side electric mirror won't go up or down when the button is pressed and there is no sound from the motor at all. All the other functions work (left right and folding) and drivers side works. Anyone had this problem before? I've tried checking the wiring from the button to mirror and it looks like the issue is within the mirror unit. How hard is it to get to the wiring/motor inside the mirror? I've tried checking the wiring from the button to mirror and it looks like the issue is within the mirror unit. How hard is it to get to the wiring/motor inside the mirror? I know on my passenger mirror the left and right movement doesn't work as the 2 movement pins that attach to the mirror are broken, so i have to set it by hand. although up and down movement works. The up and down movement is controlled by a singular lower pin, so may be worth a try prying the mirror off (or adjusting it upwards enough to peak in from the bottom and having a check to see if the pins is still attached/ or not there. Far as i can see/ search due to my recent frame problem on the inside is that a whole mirror is needed to be bought , cant seem to find parts separate. george.t
I had the same problem with my driver side mirror. It was from oxidation in the connectors pins preventing the electrical connection. I cleaned it up and it worked fine.
Big Mark
Finally got around to investigating the issue. Problem is in the mirror itself. Either the motor or the wiring to the motor. Not sure if motor comes apart and can be fixed, or just needs replacing.
