Has anyone in the histroy of mkivsupra.net actually ever changed the space saver tyre? my supra is a daily and my space saver has gotten me out of trouble a couple of times now. Sitting here thinking, that rubber is 24years old and it supposed to get me out of trouble and could very well land me right back into it.

T145/70/R17 is the specs

anyone bothered to do it? or will i be the first lol

The thought had occured to me also that my OE space saver is probably wearing a 1993/4 tyre, and that can't be a good thing!

I haven't changed the OE tyre, but I have changed the wheel+tyre to an aftermarket due to the OE wheel not fitting over large callipers.

In your case would a wheel spacer not of done the trick with the supra space saver?

Why not just fit run flat tyres to the car? I've had the space saver out once in 22 years, only to get access to the top of the fuel tank.

Vibrations vibrations. Will probably kill a wheel bearing or the alloy in the long run. Plus they cost more. Never heard anything good about them to be fair.

I took mine out and replaced it with a puncture repair kit. Compressor and tyre gunk stuff. The spare is pretty heavy. Not to mention it will never fit over my brakes

Id rather be driving on a spare to be fair. And i got a air compressor to. May want to do what mike did and find another spare
