ben_harmer32
Probably been asked before but i did a search and not a lot came up. I'm fitting LS400 brakes onto my Supra. They came with some brake pads but i'm thinking as i'm doing new discs, new fluid and braided lines i might as well do new pads. I don't track the car, it is used everyday. Currently running around 450bhp. What are peoples recommendations please? (would prefer ones that don't create a huge amount of dust as i hate cleaning my wheels but obviously performance is the most important.) fastphil666
I had ls400 calipers on my szr na and they were a massive upgrade over the jap 2 pots. Didnt track the car and i never found the bite to be lacking during fast road use.

rider
Don't touch ebc I hated them /QUOTE] I have red stuff pads and they generate much less brake dust compared to Toyota pads and stop the car. I'd replace them with another set if needed. If you read through old threads there are, or were, a good many on pads. Ten years ago Japanese Endless pads were well thought of but at £300 a set they really should be quite good. As with most things you pay the price and get what you pay for. Last pads I ever bought via eBay had electric copper wire in it (including the plastic insulation).

bluecoupe46
Chris Wilson or EBC yellow stuff. I'll get slated for mentioning yellowstuff, but they are genuinely good pads for the price! Never experienced fade at all when on track, they work better with a little bit of heat, but they'll stop you well in a bad situation. Yellowstuff are far superior to red stuff. L337
I had EBC Yellowstuff on my LS400 brake converted NA - no track use, but for very enthusiastic B road / A road driving they were great. They even worked surprisingly well from cold in the winter, but once warmed up they were very impressive.
