Resealing split rims

Pretty easy to do to be honest

 

Once we had assembled my 3 piece Work Equips and torqued all the nuts & bolts up we

popped each wheel on the tyre/wheel balancing machine.

 

Then whilst rotating the wheel by hand slowly filled the area where the pieces meet with

something like tiger seal, then rotated the wheel again by hand and using something like

a cake spatula smooth over the sealer, i think we used the top edge of a plastic cup to start

with as it smoothed out the sealer nicely.

 

Leave to set before fitting the tyres

 

Never had a problem with leaks

They are 3 piece split rims.

 

So they have a similar section like mine and if so just do what i did, you dont need a wheel balancer but that just made it real

easy to apply the sealer, you could fit the wheel to a front hub with it on full lock and use that to rotate the wheel on
