griffsplace
Help, two dead ABS sensors, no resistance across them at all. What are the options these apart from ABS delete? I only found out when I had the dashboard apart and noticed a dodgy twisted together wire, fixed that, and on came the ABS light. I would like to sort it properly if possible rather the cutting the wire again, lol. Anything kicking around second hand, or any new options. rider
There are some Lexus aftermarket ABS sensors commonly listed on ebay.com with what looks like the same sensor heads retailing typically for US$30 to US$50. If it were me, I'd look to buy one or two of those over and splice the sensor with the connector side of the lead you have on your failed sensors as the Lexus ones are too short to fit the Supra. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ABS-Wheel-Speed-Sensor-Front-Right-Holstein-2ABS0615-fits-2001-Lexus-IS300/192491947023?fits=Make%3ALexus&epid=231360244&hash=item2cd16a040f:g:CYwAAOSwlHNbntyJ https://www.ebay.com/itm/ABS-Wheel-Speed-Sensor-Rear-Left-1995-2004-Lexus-ES300-Toyota-Avalon-Camry/274066464986?fits=Make%3ALexus&epid=231489318&hash=item3fcfa260da:g:Z0IAAOSw~sBeObpJ You can find these on the Alibaba site as well often for around US$15 but there are usually minimum order quantities to contend with. Though you could be cheeky and ask for a free sample pending a big order. That sometimes works. Alternatively you may get lucky and have someone sell you a couple of their on shelf spares. There are a fair few of those around.
