GE Forward facing intake manifold

I have the SSI inlet on my Na-t build and it’s a very impressive piece of kit but does cause quite a few problems,

1. The fuse box needs moving.

2. The power steering reservoir needs relocating.

3. Need longer throttle cable.

4. The vacuum ports underneath aren’t great for access at all.

5. Need to make custom intercooler pipe work as no one does kit for it.

6. May have to extend injector wires.

7. Have too look at idle control valve and may to replace for tt or aftermarket one or do blank it like I did.

8. Have to adjust fuel feeds and returns for fuel rail.

9. Have to buy top feed injectors.

10. Need tt TPS.

If I knew all this before I unsure if would of purchased mine as it does cause lots of problems not simple bolt on like say at all.

I still struggling to find right throttle cable with mine as got extended one and it’s miles to long, they look stunning and do great job but just be aware creates more work for sure

I have a custom FFIM.

I used a larger throttle but you can always use the stock one if you extend the cable. Which you'll need anyway.

I had to extend my wires too. I used a mkiii iacv.

I didn't need to move my fuse box. But had to relocate my power steering reservoir.

Xspower doesn't kit Keith. Not sure how good it is. I've always used ones I've made myself.

Vacuum ports are a joke lol..

All in all. If you include a throttle upgrade itll net you some power hopefully

Yea I using the 90mm throttle body that came with kit but fouls the fuse box have lifted it slightly but end goal need it in boot really I think make it look neater.

Glad I not the only one who thinks vacuum ports a joke.

Do you know if stock tt throttle cable fits aftermarket inlet? If not and still can find one in couple week would you be able to extend my na cable or shorten the one that’s miles to long for me? Or if not just make me throttle cable please?

Most people reccomend a Celica ST205 throttle cable but I've got no idea if its any use to you.

Or you might be able to fix the long one you have yourself

Yea have that but been trying for months to find part number so can order new one from Toyota or just find good one for sale, haven’t had any joy at moment with either option which is pain in backside

I dont make cables I'm afraid.

St205 is the common one. GTE wont do the job.

I had someone off the forum make me a special. Cant remember who now. Someone off forum made it for me. Baldy or Simon. Cant remember their name.

I went with dbw in the end. Too many issues with low quality throttle body. I'd recommend same advice to the thread OP.
