Mr2kyle Posted March 31, 2020 Share Posted March 31, 2020 Hi all, Just going through the parts that were fitted by the previous owner and ive found a knock-off HKS dump valve that's now been replaced but ive also found that my hks cam gears could be fakes too. One website says that the blue types are prone to wear and haven't been seen in a HKS rep dealer. But they can be found on whifbitz? The same purple and blue cams? curious Posted March 31, 2020 Share Posted March 31, 2020 Early HKS Cam pulleys had the blue outer and would wear, later ones were better. Early ones can be stripped and treated to help with the wear. We have sold and fitted both types for our customers over the years.
