Parts advice for a sorn'd vehicle

Hi all,

In the process of now getting my car mechanically up to scratch. After getting the following:

HKS Cam belt

Water pump

Engine oil

Oil filter

Fuel filter

Cam belt tensioner

Aux belt

The car has done 102k and also been pretty much sat up for the last 7 years so any advice on other parts that are maybe worth refreshing would be hugely appreciated. Also remember being told something about the valves having something done to them after 60K? Re seated maybe? Reshimmed?

Thanks in advance

Kyle

Valve stem seals will be what you're probably thinking of. Ideally need replacing but it's not the end of the world as they might still be fine.

Just make sure everything is free and not seized such as the brakes, clutch works as it should and no nasty noises when you get the car going again

Thanks lads for getting back to me as quickly as you have. I’ll see and change the gearbox and diff oil as I hadn’t thought of that. I’ll have a look at a few threads to see how I would know if the stems need done. Is there only one fuel pump in these? Any other things that come to mind drop them down.

Thanks again folks! Just trying to get my car on the road and have it as well looked after as I can.

Cheers

Kyle

Don’t forget to check your fuel lines and brake lines especially where they go through the plastic retainers on the under side I have had two go now and all the underside parts must have surface rust on them wire brush and under seal or paint
