RobAce
I can remember a while ago someone found a spray paint that was very similar to the standard finish on the dash panels. Can anyone remember what it was Rob

Hamilton
Halfords matt black is also very close if you have the pre-facelift rubber coating on the dash panels.
CBR
What about the facelift dash color? There is a guy selling cans on the US forums for $125 each, which is ridiculous. Would love to find an alternative.
Rob W
Plasti-kote in Matt black. Refurbed all my dash panels with using this stuff for the top coat and came out very well.

Mk4Gaz
I've recently refurbished my dash panels in the facelift style colour. It's not perfect, but very close to oem. I mixed the paint to my own recipe [emoji41]
Hissig
looks great! Have you guys found a way to get that stock rubber coating off before painting?
Hamilton
looks great! Have you guys found a way to get that stock rubber coating off before painting? I used oven cleaner foam (found the suggestion on this forum)- spray it on and leave it for half an hour to dissolve. Then use something like a scouring pad and water to clean it all off. I believe brake cleaner works well too but I've never tried it.

Frank Bullitt
Careful using Acetone, it can melt plastic.
Frank Bullitt
If you want to colour match the OEM paint get yourself and a panel to a bodyshop that has a spectrophotometer.
