Faye
We've got a UK manual with Bilsteins on her at the moment, and as the roads seem to be getting worse and we're getting older we're after something to make her overall ride a little softer and kinder. Right now driving her isn't much fun. I'm after options on what would give me a more comfortable experience. She's never going to be tracked so I really don't care about that and am looking to emulate as much as possible the handling/ride of my NA which is definitely more forgiving. Appreciate this is probably sacrilege for many but we just want to be able to enjoy her again. I believe you can't get the standard Toyota suspension anymore and second hand is off the cards, so thoughts/ideas much appreciated - particularly if you've gone down the same route Thanks! Dnk
What springs are fitted to the car ? Also what wheels & tyres (sizes)
Faye
What springs are fitted to the car ? Also what wheels & tyres (sizes) I'm going to be unhelpfully vague and say for the springs its what came with the Bilsteins (Chris Wilson fitted them if that helps!), but the wheels are Team Dynamics, Eagle F1s - to be fair we're probably going to change the wheels too, we're having a slight rubbing issue with them so will come down from 10 on the rear to 9.

Dnk
Really low profile tyres certainly wont help so have a look and see whats fitted
Faye
Profile wise they are 35 rear, 40 front which is the same as the NA - i don't think that seems excessively low? I've just had a look at the invoice for the last suspension works but there are no brand names mentioned, so as you say probably worth us having a chat with Chris, but interesting it seems you've had a similar experience with the ride softness. The owner of the car said the same after driving my car but as i say this was 10 + yrs ago I've searched another mkiv forum but cant find any threads from the owner on his car. Annabella
If you put 17" on and go a profile higher that would help, may not look as good but ride nicer.
