Marcus GTE
Hi all, my father passed away in December leaving behind his Lexus GS 300 which I need to do something with soon. It’s the last version that had the VVTI 2JZ-GE engine in it (uk car) The engine has less than 90,000 miles and was serviced regularly with no issues. I was wondering if it’s worth my while having the engine pulled if there is enough value in it. What’s the thoughts? Thanks in advance. Mike2JZ
Around £500. Maybe more if you chance it on eBay
Mo Reviews
Sincere condolences for your loss. Personally, I'd either keep the car or sell it as it is. As far as I can recall, the VVTi GE has weaker rods so may only interest people looking to pick up a block to rebuild. Happy to be corrected... Edited February 28, 2020 by Mo Reviews Spelling. Noz
Sad times. Sorry for your loss. I see some of those engines go for anywhere upto £700. It would be easier to sell the whole car of course.
Marcus GTE
Thanks for the kind words and info guys. The interior of the car is mint black leather but there are a couple of scuffs on the bodywork that might need attention before selling as a whole. Swampy442
Just sell the car complete, breaking cars is a pain in the ass
Marcus GTE
Just sell the car complete, breaking cars is a pain in the ass That can be true. If I can find it a good home then it would be less hassle. These things run forever. If anyone is interested before I start a future for sale thread let me know.
