Vagnum
i'm experimenting with a new style of aero wiper arms and blades and would like peoples opinions
Sharpie
Looks cleaner but, do they work at slightly above 69mph ?
Pete
Weird. How about a full window and car shot. Difficult to tell that close. Very modern. First instinct is square doesn't go with the curvey shape of the Supra. What makes them 'aero'?
Sharpie
Any additional wind noise when working ?
Vagnum
I haven't tested them while driving yet, they're aero due to the shape being aero dynamic and full rubber, they work on the car they came from but once I get a full set I'll try them on the motorway and let you know
carl0s
Interesting. I have been pondering fitting Alfa GTV washer arms to mine. They have the squirter-jets along the arm, which seems a good idea to me.
TrickTT
These are similar to those fitted to my old audi and the better halfs ford galaxy, they work reasonably well at m-way speeds. Carl0s, you might have more luck finding a peugeot 406 in the breakers - they have spray jets on the wiper arms too.

Thats a 405 btw,406 are in the bonnet Those wipers are fitted to most of the new Vw,Audi and the likes,They are pretty good as when you lift them from the screen the will bend to a c shape so they will suit the curvature of the supra screen very good,How did the go on as the vw ones seem to have special arms for them too? foodfreak
The arms from the older 2.8i supra had spray holes in the arms too john
Rob
If you fit the silicone blades from PIAA, it won't matter if they lift off above [ahem] 69mph.

Jspec Germany
I hate to say it for fear of repraisal, but the wipers on my 540i work extremely well at high speeds, although I think the swap would be extremely difficult given the design and mechanism required to drive the arms. I am very interested in what works best above 250 clicks though, so all info and lessons learned are highly appreciated.

Zed
I lilke the look of those wipers, theyr'e the design used as OE equipment on Audis, fords Mercedes, VW, BMW and even Lamborghini. They must be fairly effective you would assume.

Jspec Germany
Has anybody ever thought of welding one of those aero wing pieces to the front of the wiper arm?
c0c4in3
Hey there... I just bought those for my supra. http://www.autotoys.com/pics/piaasporza.jpg They look awesome and due tot he big spoiler they will work even better at higher speeds, I think. Still havent installed them so let see and wait what will happens. But the look is great and the silicon makes you screen resistend against water and it will better peel of. Jspec Germany
I'm still interested in this aero wiper. Any updates? Are they made for the supra? I saw a set recently on a newer BMW 3-series. Looks like the whole wiper blade has a wing shape to it. Has anybody seen the 'Bosch Icon' blades?

Crap. So they're not a direct fit. We'd have to change the wiper arms?
Vagnum
Crap. So they're not a direct fit. We'd have to change the wiper arms? yes mate the wipers use a pin to hold them on to the arm not like the old type where they clip on so the arms need to be replaced also, but they do work better at high speed's
Jspec Germany
how fast have you tested them? I need something that works over 100mph.
