Boyne
I have been using shell ultra 5w/40 in my 600k miles honda from day one never had issue, I used same or sometimes 10w 60 in supra same no issue, however my oil guy swears by this esther based stuff, was just wondering peoples opinion, but I'd like some technical ie less heat from engine or quieter or louder more fuel efficient less etc. My lexus gs 250 says 0w20or 5w30 however the heat from engine bay was ridiculous hot when I switched to 5w 40 the heat dropped, it was like the oil was absorbing the heat. I really believe these low viscous oils are for mpg and not for better protecting.
