71674890-E9B2-4EBF-BEB6-92C4898F6025.jpegJust a little write up on how I changed all the wheel bearings over the weekend.

Now I only managed it due to having the use of a 4 post ramp , 30 ton press and plenty of tools in my mates garage.

Tools needed

Spanners, big hammer, grinder, 30ton press, various screwdrivers , wd40 or similar , sweat and blood

So we started on the rears as there the worst to do.

Sprayed all bolts nuts to help loosen

Removed boot plastics and seats so as to disconnect the abs wire which is in the quarter panel be speaker.

Push wire throght the floor and undo small bracket holding the wire, there also a plastic clip holding wire to top arm.

Remove brake caliper.

Remove rear disk and brake shoes.

To remove the handbrake cable we had to just make the hole slightly longer as it fouls on the abs sensor.

You could remove the abs sensor if your feeling brave ,due to these no longer available I didn't risk it and decided to remove the hub with it attached.

Undo hub nut

So now need to undo all the ball joints holding the hub on

Then hit the joint with big hammer to shock them loose being carefull not to damage the boots.

Remove hub

We then hammered the centre of the bearing out with the flange .

To remove the centre off the flange we grinded it down thin but to going right through then tapping it round with a hammer and slips off

Press out old bearings and seals and press in new bearings taking care.

Personally ide be giving the bearing etc to a machine shop to do unless you have the correct tools

Then fit back on as a reverse of removal.

The fronts were a lot easier.

The abs plug is just behind the front wheel arch liner.

I took advantage to replace the brake disc sheilds whilst off as you need to remove the bearing to replace.

I did them as I had a very small bit of movement in one of the rears but this ended up being the best of them so very glad I did them before damaging the flange

Few pics taken

Hope this helps
