Thomas.B
Hey! My alternator was faulty so when measuring it I noticed the cambelt had chewed it's was through the cambelt cover! Just removed the alternator tonight and will continue tomorrow. I'll post pics tomorrow when I've removed the last things but any ideas? Will oem cambelt and tensioners for 600whp be good or any others I should choose as I'll be replacing the lot either way. Thanks for any input even if it's not all off yet. https://ibb.co/2PnZBfS https://ibb.co/LQgFqd5
Mike2JZ
Oem cambelt and tensioner is fine for that power. If you have made your engine interference by running large cams, then you might want to consider a billet cambelt idler bracket and a racing cam belt for some insurance against something on cambelt system breaking For the cambelt to move so far forward I would imagine that you are missing the cambelt guide that sits behind the crank pulley, inbetweeners cambelt and lower timing cover. You may also be missing the timing belt plate that is installed on the oil pump.
Thomas.B
Thanks for the input! I'll take away the rest so everything is visable later. Please check in if I've missed anything needed. I'll post the list of parts I'm getting too. Thanks again, really appreciate it !
David P
The belt is riding forwards because the tension-er arm pivot is todgered.

absz
If the tensioner and idler are fine then check the crankshaft endfloat if you can.i had a similar issue a few years ago and was due to Crankwalk. Was running a heavy clutch with approx 600bhp.
keron
I’ve seen this before a couple of times. Had to Rectify other garages crap. Behind the idler should be a spacer/shim about the size of a £2 coin. A lot of people seem to unbolt the idler and remove it and that falls out. I’ve seen the belts draw forward because it was missing so defo worth checking if it is there....
Thomas.B
Just wanted to answer what the problem was, The Crankshaft washer (13566-46010) was missing! So must have had this issue slowly for the longest time! Happy that I found it in time
