Thanks for the information, i'll add it to my notes. May i ask as far as Supra's go, does this car/model stand out atall? just trying to get my head around what i'm dealing with really.

Sorry for your loss.

Yes this is a very desirable Supra, it's VVti Twin Turbo, 6 speed manual v161, which you cannot get hold of easily at all! If the car runs etc -any proficient Mechanic would be able to get it going or tell you what is wrong, ie change oil, brake fluid, free up the calipers, change the fuel, change battery, and see what happens, then you would have a whole lot better idea of value.

If that was all done, the car taken back to somewhere near stock a dealer or even a private would have that for sale for over £30000 assuming underneath isnt very rusty.

It maybe better to spend £1k on it to maybe gain £5k.

Maybe a member nearby could look it over for you...........

I would personally keep the car and get it repainted and a good top to bottom service. If you hold on to that and look after it, its an investment and of course a memory of your father. As it is id say you're looking early twenties or creeping towards mid twenties with an MOT and top to bottom service. With a decent respray and the front bumper back to standard you could be looking around 30K.

Sorry for your loss. I would be interested in this as a genuine supra nut.

Dont let a trader on here rip you off for buttons. They will just readvertise it for a load more. Email me on bimmerforums1@ gmail.com

I think some peoples valuations are a bit dreamy though, the car has a lot of unknowns

Thanks for taking the time to post.

Much appreciate the advice and i agree aswell and looking to get it to the right garage/mechanic to get it checked over properly to understand the overall health inside & out.

Will also look into seeing if theres a nearby member to check it over.

Agree, don't sell it short. This is desirable car.

You need to get it inspected, rust wise especially. Maybe get someone from the club to check it.

Where are you based?

First off, sorry for your loss. Secondly, its a desirable car, be wary of 'traders' trying to knock you down on the value, lastly it will almost certainly go abroad so dont be worried about overseas buyers.

Thanks for your reply and will take what you said into account.

A stock front bumper on that, a glass in 3-4K respray and you’re on to a 25-28k car as long as it’s running well and no rust issues etc

Thanks for the advice will take it into account!

Thanks and would love to keep the car but unfortunately, the money would be better with my mother at this point. But thanks for the advice on price guideline aswell, much appreciated

Im sorry for your loss! I would keep it too, like tayr said put a stock bumperset on it and a new paintjob and you will have a mint looking Supra! OEM Facelift VVTI V161 6spd... oeff i wish my dad had that taste of cars!

Thanks for your reply and agree that i need to find the stock parts which i believe we still have and we do also have a whole another set of expensive alloys to go with the car which helps. and Yeah this was my dads baby and just want to make him proud now by selling it for the right price.

Hi there sorry for your loss. This car sounds like it will worth 30K+ as this was a Japanese import you should be able to retrieve the auction sheet when this car first landed here. Contact these guys and for a reasonable fee you can have the millege confirmed. I'm not sure if they hold records for that long.. but is well worth a check. All the best with your sale.
