Engine Issues

Okay so I’m having a few issues with my Supra at the moment. Before Christmas I spun it off the road but drove it away and all ran fine.... fast forward a couple months it’s in the body shop and they call me to ask why the car won’t start....

So ive been down and the car wouldn’t start just endless tickover and won’t fire, I’ve changed the fuel (thinking it may be stale) It then started and instantly conked out a couple times, managed to get it to start up and run without cutting out after giving it the beans as I started it up. Turned off and tried to start back up and having the same problem either won’t fire or fires and instantly cuts out.

Taken the pipe work off for the air intake and doesn’t help

Any ideas??

Thanks

Tom

First up you can rule out the taking the car for a spin as anything to do with the non starting problem seeing it ran fine aftwerwards. Beyond that there are only three things that need checking, spark, timing and fuel delivery. Whether you have a NA or TT car could affect where you look to your problem but I'd start off with fuel pump pressure and then fuel filter or pipe restriction, If it started and died that usually points to fuel first.
