Mo Reviews
Sadly, my tyre of choice, namely Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, is not available in the stock Supra size... the tyres that I used to buy, way back when I had my first few Supras, namely Vredestein Sessantas, are no longer produced, which leads me on to my query; which tyre would you recommend from the limited pool of current options? mellonman
The vredrastain sassanta was a awesome tyre. They was replaced with the vorti but are not quite as good . There is that tyre review website

Mo Reviews
Thank you for the link. I am also hoping to get the input of our fellow members who have tried some of these tyres on their actual cars.
Frank Bullitt
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 PS4 or Michelin Pilot Super Sport would be my choice if they are still available in the OEM sizes. Do you happen to know the difference between PS4 and PS4S tyres? Information online is rather scarce... could it just be marketing? Tread pattern looks very similar, if not identical from the pictures I've seen. The other noteworthy tyre available in this size appears to be the new Continental Sport Contact 6, has anyone had any experience with this tyre? Frank Bullitt
No worries. The PS4s is more advanced but only available from 19" upwards. The PS4 is the replacement for the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 PS3 but much much better. Lots of rave reviews prompted a lot of us to switch 3-4 years ago. I have tried searching for the old threads but it looks like Mawbs has deleted them in his forum clean up. I'll see if I can find some of the reviews. Vredestein Sessanta were on mine when I picked it up. The back end felt so loose, never planted. Every time I hit a drain the rear wanted to step out. Michelin all the way. Is that because they simply weren't tested against the newer tyres or is it because the newer tyres are that much better than the old ones? Check this out... out of the top 3, only the Conti is available in stock size.
Frank Bullitt
I don't think they go back to retest, the old scores remain listed so it gives you an option to compare lots of different types. One nice feature of the Michelin is that it has, for want of a better word, an inbuilt lip protector. The way it fits to the wheel, it almost hugs the lip so protects it from damage should you accidentally scuff it. The Conti have a slight edge apart from handling, wear and buy again. I would guess it's a softer compound in comparison to the Michelin. If you are happy with Michelin it's not a bad tyre, far from it.
Swampy442
Tyres are a very personal thing, what works for one might not for another. Personally I fit Continental Contisports or Uniroyal rainsports, both (in my opinion) excellent road tyres
Style
I had Bridgestone Potenza's (can't remember the variant, possibly re050a's) on mine when I was on 17's and they were pretty good for an all round tyre. Moved onto Pilot Sport's now which I can see has already been discussed, so all I'll say is that they've been great too, just not as capable in the wet. But maybe that's down to a profile change when I stepped up to 18's
Dnk
Here's a good guide https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2019-Auto-Bild-Summer-Tyre-Test.htm I've never found much of a difference between a lot the top end tyres i've used, the only tyre i've pushed to the max were the Contisport contact 6 at Portimao race circuit in a school car, a 335 BMW and they were great, all the school cars had them on and the school instructor who could really drive rated them very highly I have Ultrac vortis on my BMW 330 and they appear to be good in all conditions and not wearing too badly either
Ric
I have the continental sport contact 5 and they are great. I'd assume the 6 is better still

Johnm400
Goodyear Eagle F1 always used to get rave reviews a few years ago. Are they out of fashion nowadays?
Dnk
Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 now, i had the earlier F1 GS D3 and on track pushing quite hard i didn't think they were that great, looks like you can still buy the GS D3's https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Goodyear/Eagle-F1-Asymmetric-5.htm Edited February 5, 2020 by Dnk (see edit history)

Darren
I inherited some Hankook's on mine Ventus V12 evo 1 or 2 or something, had vredesteins on my other set and happy in comparison. Good info thanks - I’ve been considering the Hankook’s have used them on a few other cars. On my spare wheels I fitted 4 Mohawk (by Hankkook) tyres and for a cheaper tyre I have no complaints there either.

Tyson
Goodyear Eagle F1's here too. The set I have on now have Dunlop SP Sport 9000's which are ok but not as good as the Eagle F1's in my opinion.
Boyne
So I do 60k + year I have tried every make not budget tires out there, currently running new good year eagle asymmetric 5s great tire wear is excellent, any of the hankooks ventus are all excellent but a little louder, the quietest tire I have ever used was nexum Ferra su1, another excellent tire I have on 18tte wheels is falken azensis fk510, almost as good as good year but more comfort quiter. Dont last as long however. I have new set Michelin pilot sport 4 going on to refurbished 17s so will give review in time, but over all for me good year eagle asymmetric 5s have moved game on. Mo Reviews
I have some new 18" Work wheels on order for my grey Supra. The rears are 11.5J ET52 and the fronts are 10J ET42. The car will be running circa 1xxx hp and I was wondering what size tyre owners with similar power are running?
