Peter P
Nice! Good choice on the braces, I have the front but not the rear one just yet. Where did you buy yours from if you don’t mind me asking mate? Lots of nice goodies going on your build, very cool.

Thanks Peter, I wanted the braces to actually do something for the car so the carbing ones were the best option. I got them from Paul whiffin at whifbitz! Came basically next day too! Want only the best stuff going on the car I can get my hands on, got to be worth it in the end.
Peter P
Nice one, I got my front from Paul as well mate, Carbing are the best braces in my opinion too. I’ll probably get the rear off him at some point as well. Keep up the good work, car is coming along nicely.

Thanks Peter. so happy to have a full 4” system. Was worried I’d be stuck with a 3” downpipe but was lucky. is yours full 4” from turbo too? Any sound clips? Peter P
Hey, I’m running a Whifbitz 4” system, but not got the single conversion or engine build done yet, so stock downpipe with the 3” to 4” adaptor for now. Got the exhaust knowing my plans for the future.
Supra-love
All welded ready for fitting, decided to use aerospace grade inconel rods for the welding. So these will be strong. Was a lot harder to get a uniform weld though. Still they won’t be breaking anytime! Was going to wrap the exhaust up but didn’t bother so this is how they will be fitted

Supra-love
Upgraded the smaller 1000cc fic injectors to the new 1440cc ones. Be able to map in and run meth now which is a nice option to have.
Supra-love
Popped to the garage today. 2 more days work to do and she’s ready to start running in. Finally! Cannot wait.
Supra-love
Waste-gates and screamer pipes now plumbed in nicely. After upgrading the injectors it was found the intake system had been sealed with silicone. Not sure why as I bought a full gasket kit for the car. Not good.!. Anyway, Ordered some proper gaskets for it. Just leaves staging the fuel pumps now and a bit of Syvecs wiring.

Supra-love
Couple of pics from today. Finishing off the final snag list! Fuelling finished, turbo side finished, intercooler fitted today! Fuel going in by the end of the week! oil, fuel and leak pressure checks! Using millers running in oil to begin, bed the camshafts in for 20minutes at 2.5k revs, drop that oil and filter, check magnetic plug, and open the filter checking swarf. Refill oil with mineral 10/50 Titan superma, then 100ish miles to bed the piston rings in on the dyno using the motoman method, once bedded in drop superma oil and filter, Recheck swarf! Then I’ll do some road/street running up and down the Rev range with more superma mineral oil and another new filter, before dropping that for millers comp 10/60 and going to mapping and tuning dyno! Will video all this! Panic setting in Edited March 1, 2021 by Supra-love (see edit history)
