Quick update, turbo is all fitted, just waiting the on downpipe to be finished off, fitted a new Syvecs 10bar fuel sensor and egt sensor.
Need to get some fittings for the aeromotive fpr and fit the twin walbros in the tank to finish the fuelling Unfortunately when inspecting the underbody it’s been found my hub and bearing rear passenger side had it, an unexpected find after having the underbody restored, anyway I ordered parts for that and the new garage is checking everything over in case anything else is broken.
Then we can start the engine for the first time providing all is in order from the last garage.

Hopefully all will go to plan.

Well down-pipe is nearly finished.

unfortunately the 4” wouldn’t fit so had to go 3” until we cleared the manifold.

Bit annoyed about that but it’s the way it is, hopefully it won’t limit or affect performance

Fingers crossed it doesn’t effect it to much and I’m liking the crackle black cam covers

Going smaller will improve torque at the cost of HP. It’s all about air velocity. It shouldn’t be a restriction until high RPM. If it is a concern why not step it up after the manifold?

Yeap it’s being stepped up straight after the manifold.

so it’ll be 3” until it clears the manifold then 4” all the way from there

750Whp straight through system

So about 860 ish at the crank. People were running 800hp through 3” exhausts around 10 years ago if not longer. The exhaust wheel on your turbo under 3” too.

What is your plan for the car? Straight line 1/4 top speed runs or nice weekend blast with occasional track and 1/4 mile?

That’s it mate. Should be around that at the crank.

plan for the car is a nice street car with very very occasional straight line runs

I wouldn’t worry about a 4” system then, they are really loud especially if you don’t have any resonators fitted. A 3.5” or 88.90mm (to be precise) would be a lot more agreeable.

What are you doing with the screamer pipe? Open or plumbing it back in to the exhaust?

External Twin 40mm gates with screamers mate

Few more little touches towards completion. We’ve managed to fit in a 4” down pipe now so the system is now as expected full 4” turbo back with a single box.

Some new facelift indicators and looms to suit the facelift headlights.

New breather hoses.

Full new set of side fixings.

Spare rear bearing kit.

New 1.4kw starter motor.

My 2mm weld for a new engine hook piece.
