Spunkmeyer
Rear is a bit on the mild side
Shane34
Yeah comparison to my 9.5 et 38 rear it goes in 17mm which seems a lot.
Spunkmeyer
I mean OEM is ET50 9.5 Rear isn’t it?
Shane34
Not sure, I'm guessing this sits well inside the arches, enough to lower a nice amount, but it's looks like I'd need a spacer of at least 10mm to look half decent?
Spunkmeyer
Are you trying to fit a set of wheels you absolutely have to have because they are the shizzle? Or looking for recommendations as to what fits? Not sure what you mean by “enough to lower a nice amount” Edited January 27, 2020 by Spunkmeyer (see edit history)
Mk4Gaz
They'll look more tucked in than a pre op trannies nob. You'll either need some hefty spacers, or find a better fitting set of wheels
Delboy52
They'll look more tucked in than a pre op trannies nob. Lol Standard: Front - Alloy 17 x 8j +50, Tyre 235 45 R17 Rear - Alloy 17 x 9.5j +50, Tyre 255 40 R17 Do you have rolled rear arches? You can get an 18” 9j +35 wheel under standard, 10j +35 or +25 if arches are rolled. These were my sizes when I had stock arches with the rears rolled. Front - Alloy 18 x 8j +35, Tyre 235 40 R18 Rear - Alloy 18 x 9.5j +35, Tyre 265 35 R18 +10mm spacer Excellent resource for fitments. Enter in the stock 17” values and go from there https://www.willtheyfit.com
erachter
I am running on stock arches the following setup: 8.5j ET45 235/40/18 +20mm spacer on both sides 9.5j ET40 285/35/18 no spacers The front wheels are sticking a tiny bit, like 2-3mm, but no rubbing. Rears are completely flush with the arches. I would not recommend running anything wider since you will definitely touch the arches. For your setup(ET55) I would say 275 is a bit too much for the rear, 265 would be perfect.. Shane34
Cheers guys found a set off BBS LM in those fitment but it will require spacers which are definitely not ideal.
