rg500
How did you do it have you any details and pictures of what was used and how you got around the throttle body and the kick down.
Mike2JZ
Kickdown works without the cable attached from what I remember testing on the last NA-T with a FFIM i did. However I think that cable tells the box to do something with line pressure? David P is the best person to ask about NA box and how it works. Also, an NA-T with stock NA autobox is not going to last long, so if you are going for more than 300hp/300ft.lbs then you might want to consider a DavidP hybrid box or a manual conversion. Otherwise the FFIM install is pretty straight forward, no different to putting one on a TT.
Swampy442
Its not kick down its a manual line pressure cable
sidewaysdan
How does it work then with a ffim . What’s needed to get one up and running on a auto
Noz
The hardest part is faffing with the power steering res. Dont buy any fittings until you mock up the manifold and see if you need a 90 or 45 degree fitting. The TT uses a 45 degree but you may need a more expensive 90 degree one. You'll also need to move your battery. Dont forget your IACV if you arent using an ECU that can delete it. I can also highly advise on spending out on a decent throttle body. Whifbitz put an electronic one on mine in the end. Harness cover also needs to be removed for a lot of it and injector clips may need wires extending. You'll find all this out on the mock up though I'm sure. Not auto related. But hope it helps
