Clutch kit for 94 2JZ-GTE

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 94 Supra turbo with the 6 speed manual transmission. When I depress the clutch, its makes a grinding noise. My friends believe it just needs a throw out bearing.

Since this vehicle has an after market clutch that is very aggressive, I was thinking about getting something not as aggressive for someone like me who won't be racing the car.

Anyone have suggestions on what to get?

Thanks a lot!!

Currently it still stock besides a front mount inter cooler. Down the road I would plan on getting a large single turbo, but I still want to be able to drive it reliably, not a daily driver at all, I'll probably only put on 1000 miles a year or less. I would say ultimate goal would be around 600HP.

First you need to see if the clutch uses the stock dual mass flywheel, and is till a pull type clutch. Or if has been converted to a push type and all the (very dear) pul type stuff has gone missing. All this can be seen through the bellhousing on a ramp with the little side vent covers removed (4 off 12mm hex bolts) This info is needed to make a sensible decision where to go next,
