Nic
Anyone know wher i can get a TRD twin disk re-built ? Most good mechanics should be able to do the job. If you need new parts sourcing give me a shout.
neo1
One of the disks could do with being replaced (its an exedy sprung disk) if you could get a price on that for me Nick ? Most importantly, i need the preassure plate tested as i think this could be the problem ? Its a shame, its a good clutch and comes with a light weight fly wheel and everything. Would like to try and get it fixed.
Chris Wilson
I can get rebuild / repair / individual bits for the OS Giken clutches, which is why i use and recommend them. You may struggle getting TRD bits, although I believe Exedy actually make them as re badged units *FOR* TRD. Like many of these kits, getting repair parst can be cost ineffective, it's often a lot less pain, and little more money, to buy a new clutch asembly. What's the problem with it, I am very familiar with twin and triple plate clutches (and single plate ones too)?
neo1
I know one of the plates has some damage on two of the 'pucks' so that plate really needs replacing (i think exedy want £200) but i hope nick can get back to me with a better price on that side of things. But i am not sure what went wrong in the first place.... It just started to slip a little every time i changed gear.... as soon as more torque got to it... the slipping stopped. Im sure this may be to do with the preassure plate on the cover assembly rather than the normal (clutch is just worn out syndrome) Not sure though, it really needs a specialist to have a look at it or test it
