griffsplace
So part of the front rebuild revealed this. Anyone have the steel front cross member, and how much do you want. I checked with Mr T and they are still available new @ £258.25.
rider
Looks like that's been under the sea for a long time. Why scrimp, £258.25 is cheap for a Supra part. Edited January 11, 2020 by rider (see edit history)
Sheefa
Ouch. Not good. Is the rest of the car in similar condition?
blythmrk
I have seen these far worse! Is this a jdm car?
griffsplace
Yep its a JDM, suprising how the rust has occurred on the top, the other side is not quite as bad, its solid up around where the suspension arms connects in. It was just hoping to spend my dosh on other bits, not this big steel lump. The underneath of the car was in a pretty poor state. Last winter I took the rear end back to bare metal, POR-15 it all and stonechipped. This winter I was going to complete the rest of the underneath. I did take a gamble on the car buying it back in early 2017. I knew nothing about supras, and there was no paperwork with it whatsoever. Still I only paid £3.8k, so it was reasonable, no bargain at the time, but I was hooked.
evinX
Exhaust heat and rain will do a good job of doing that
