Dnk
Who got it then ? Sold for £14610. Says £15,050 looks like the last bid The auction keeps running for 15 secs after the last bid i think so could keep going for a while Very useful to those wanting agreed value policies Edited January 13, 2020 by Dnk (see edit history)

Nathanj1142
I hope the new owner is a member on here I’d be interested to see what the car is actually like!
blythmrk
It all depends on the underneath tbh it looked neglected looking at the alloys etc. It’s got a cat n marker on it so that effects it’s value if it’s ever sold. Tyson
Be interesting to know whether it was a typo or whether the gearbox has gone.
Tyson
It is a 5 speed and the box has been swapped out.
Dnk
madness! prob £600-800 fees on top too. Over £12,000 hammer price there's a 5% buyers fee so £752 Not sure if you get hit with vat on that fee too ?
blythmrk
It is a 5 speed and the box has been swapped out. I thought it was a typo as there was nothing in the listing?

I think the fees are plus vat I was surprised the reserve wasn’t higher on the auction. blythmrk
Well my brother in law didn't win so someone else has a UK to restore. Hope someone keeps us up to date on what they find when stripped down. Your brother in law viewed the car and took more pictures, any of the underneath? What did he value it at as he was ideally placed as he was going to repair it himself I think you said?
Dnk
Its not such a great buy if the box isn't the 6 speed
raddys
Well I didnt win it, 15k for a crashed supra with a w58.. no thanks lol
jonc
Yea there was corrosion evident around the arch that had the big hit and underneath. He didn't see anything on the sills but he didn't remove the covers. Because of the gearbox confusion (he didn't know UKs only cam with 6 speed manuals) he was only willing to go to £10k. Once you factor in gearbox confusion, a loss of 25% on final price because it's recorded and auction costs that was all he was willing to pay.
