AC93
Hi guys, My '94 non-VVTi GE block is currently stripped and getting ready for a full refurb with ARP hardware. I also bought a Lexus GE VVTi engine purely for the VVTi head to help with spool/power/response on my BW S364. Has anyone done this before? My query is how to get an oil feed for both the turbo and VVTi.. I read on US forums that the IS300 oil union banjo bolt isn't enough to run both VVTi and a turbo. Should I tap in to the block, use a sandwich plate or is there another way? Once the block and head are back from the machine shop I will start a thread and vlog with all the info and pics for future reference as more and more people go NA-T and VVTi being more desirable. Thanks, A.C.
Lee P
If you do have an early non VVTI block then you can use the Oil filter housing bolt and the oil flow is ok. We have done this before, you can also drill them out larger for larger fitting. Also while the block is stripped you can have the oil gallery and feeds drilled to open up the OEM turbo oil feeds for the GTE on turbo side This will sort your turbo feed and also save you running a feed around the engine
