Dct 7 speed conversion/t56 manual conversion or new car? Lol

Hi guys

I've reached a point where I've had supras for several years and I'm just abit bored I suppose.

Its a 1993 full BPU auto around 380-400hp but my eyes keep wondering to other things such as an r8, gtr, 996 turbo, ariel atom or just something crazy like a turbo ls swapped rx7 or 2jz swapped 240z/260z sort of thing.. so I'm wondering about the supra dct 7 speed/f80 conversion? I've seen videos on youtube but theres hardly any videos and I wanna know how it drives in general? Anyone got one installed and care to share their experiences?

Also the t56 magnum 6 speed manual conversion? Any one had one done? How is it?

I believe the prices of the f80, t56 conversions cost around 10k each

From a full BPU car, is this about right?

I'm basically just weighing up options, deep down I'd love to keep the supra and spice it up abit, basically something like a quick spooling turbo @ 600hp ish and f80 conversion would be super cool, would probably sink upto 16k maximum into the project.

So if you have any ideas/experiences with said conversions then please share :) thanks

Grant

I shall give fosta a message in abit, thanks

And yes I've seen they are around 6.5k but with fitting and extra parts such as pedals etc I believe I was previously quoted around the 10k mark for a drive in drive out.

Anyone got any feedback on the bmw conversion?

Cheers for the replys guys

I have had the 7 speed Dct conversion done for a couple of years now and done over 20,000 miles, it's the 2009 M3 gearbox not the F80 (will be going into Whifbitz soon for the F80). I also had a single conversion done at the same time so i am around 700bhp. The gear changes are amazing, a setting to suit whatever mood you are in. I will be getting the car out of storage soon so happy to start coming to some meet ups.
