herbiemercman
Hi Dudes, I am not sure i got the names right but until yesterday i had not heard of fog light rings / adaptors, apparently this is a plastic ring which fits onto the bulb entry connection on the headlight. Does anyone know what it does? and how it does it? Could this be some thing on the facelift headlights? or is it an aftermarket item? or is it an OEM part on the UK models? Herbie. Noz
Fogs are no different facelift or pre. Going to need more detail and also why you're asking may help. Fog rings is not anything I've heard of.
herbiemercman
Hi Noz, Looks like you do not know either, a guy interested in my recent add for selling my headlights asked did mine have fog rings, i said i had never heard of them? He then sent me the pic shown below. Herbie. FOG RING..jpg (67.3 KB)
Noz
It's a cap on the rear of the headlight for the fog bulb to pass through. Its more of a cap than a ring. The fog light bulb wiring as you can see goes through it. He is asking if you provide the caps that have said wiring for the bulb. PreFacelift also have the wiring for the sidelight. As they feed to a three pin connector. Because people disconnect these and leave them on the car. Lights typically dont have them. He should have some on the set on his car. Therefore its uncommon to find lights with the fog caps on. I did toy with making replacements. To allow for fog bulb upgrades as some fogs extend pass the geometry of where the fog cap sits. Anyway I'm going off topic lol but now you know.
