samdale
Just FYI, 2nd cats are the same between vvti and non. You might have more luck changing the thread title as the mention of vvti may stop people offering their standard TT cat, as they don't think it would be suitable. rider
Just FYI, 2nd cats are the same between vvti and non. Except the earlier 2nd cat is/was three times the new price of a VVTi cat.
Big Mark
I've got both my cats from my non-vvti TT stored in a garage doing nothing, only problem is the garage is 100 miles away and I'm not sure when I'll next be there. Possibly next week, but if not then probably February.

Mo Reviews
Except the earlier 2nd cat is/was three times the new price of a VVTi cat. Aside from the pricing discrepancy, they are fundamentally the same part?
rider
Aside from the pricing discrepancy, they are fundamentally the same part? The earlier 2nd cat has a honeycomb converter matrix that is clearly visible from the exhaust coupling end. The later 2nd cat just has an emptyness, a black hole. They are the same apart from the internals. Part numbers are later 17410-46220 and earlier 17410-46160.
Mo Reviews
That's what had initially led me to suspect that they were different. However, I am now led to believe they're in fact interchangeable?
peter richards
got a nice one in my garage the tailpipe is a fraction larger but it is quiet ,don't like the loud ones ,never fitted it as the original is still ok
