paul_y3k
did something very stupid on saturday which resulted in me losing the roof at 20mph. Fortunalty nobody else was on the road and so an even worse situation was avoided so it's just my pride thats thats taken the hurt. But I'm now left with a roof that still fits -ish and lots of scratches etc- fortunaly (?) it landed roof side down so there's no damage to the inside. I think the worse bit it the side guttering has been torn abit. Photo's are to follow - and I'm doing the tour of the bodyshops at lunchtime, but should the worse happen and I hear we cant fix that has anyone had to buy a replacement roof before ? Is it even possible ? thanks in advance Paul ps i have aplologised to the car already and promised to buy it some nice new shiny wheels just as soon as i can. ChrisR
Knowone else has asked so i will. How did you manage to lose the roof in motion. Doesnt the roof have four allen bolts or something holding it in place or were they not present at all.
dude
It also has a 'parking ' latch in the middle so you dont have to do up the 4 allen bolts , maybe this isnt man enought o hold the roof on !!!!! John:flame Dev

paul_y3k
chris .... errr yep the roof does hove four bolts and yes a parking latch .... to be honest I'm still not sure why they didn't hold the roof, I've checked them and they are fine for thread etc sooo I'm making the asumption I'd not fitted the roof 100% midlife ... what would you recommend
Mid_lifecry_sis
neon's and string fitted accross the two open areas, aka, five tube srung together each side in a makeshift roof fashion... right lengnth needed ofcourse and some electrical wire... hehelol won't see where you are going from within the cokpit but the plan view 'glow' would be superb!
