rider
Announced BMW doing a Supra MkV recall due to dodgy welding. Swapping out for new cars. Toyota Supra MkIV - no recalls ever. Seems Toyota quality has been compromised by BMW.
WayneW
The security nowadays is smth completly different than 25 years ago… The recall itself is not the problem… but the brand that recalls the Supra IS the problem, not good at all for the marketing :/

Style
Strange that it was only 7 cars. I wonder what happened to those 7 that didn't happen to the rest. Might be something as small as welding inspections not being carried out and the strength of welds not being verified.
Lee P
I haven't seen anything official about this yet, could most likely be fake news

Dnk
I'm amazed Toyota refused to look at that especially in the States
Ric
TBF. If you had a problem like that on a brand new car why would you take it all apart yourself then expect a dealer to warranty anything... Makes zero sense.
Annabella
Ric they refused before they took the rack apart. Staggering it's a known issue across the bmw range, and they know about it as there is a fixing kit available. Blimey.
