black_widow87
Evening all, After pulling the car out the other day noticed a pool of brake fluid on the floor just under the front left caliper. After a closer inspection I have noticed a hairline crack coming off the caliper banjo area. I believe that it has been over tightened by my old mechanic a few years back as the copper washers were flat as a pancake, causing the casting to crack after a period of time under such torque. Now what what my options? Is the caliper repairable? Or is it a replacement job. ..The copper washers in the pics are new as I originally thought they were the cause of the leak. rider
If the caliper is cracked it has to be replaced. ASAP.
