blythmrk
That's odd then, because I perso ally did it with my mr2! Maybe I got lucky, but my log book said: Year of manufacture 1991 Year of first registration in UK 1998 The original reg was: H96 RKG Changed to: N11 GME /QUOTE] That’s a mistake by the dvla. Mk4Gaz
That’s a mistake by the dvla.Maybe, but it's odd how it was confirmed verbally over the phone prior to buying the registration, then I had no trouble getting it all swapped over at my local dvla office in Chelmsford. Dnk
Every import would be on much younger age related plates if it was down to when it was first registered here so i can only guess the DVLA messed up with yours, i remember a guy on here with a 53 reg NA a while back which i guess was also a DVLA mistake

Dnk
Why did you post that pic again? What did the op originally ask for Only posted it once and thought it loosely relevant to the topic as it was a mkiv on a much younger reg
XIL007
Frustrating rule as I have had issues with this well with a few plates. Check dvla website for an alternative plates. I’m sure plates ending in sup are cheap at the minute but with the MKV on the way even these could go up in price soon

ttssRR12
Depends if it's a dateless plate, I put my SUP 2J plate on my 93 supra because its dateless. Might work the same for you. Good luck Have you ever used/seen https://www.number1plates.com/dateless-number-plates/? I have been recommend by a friend but I am not sure of anyone else that has used them to buy number plates before

Nathanj1142
No way! My mate recommended coming on to a forum to ask as he has no idea either. So here I am! Well I always use plates4less - really nice layout and a large selection of number plates both preowned and new. Can also stick your car registration date in and it will grey out any regs that won’t go on your car.
