U.K. And facelift headlight help

Scooter

Recommended Posts

Ok went to swap in some uk lights and one of my facelift bulbs slots in and rotates fine but the 90 degree connector is pointing at the surround and I can see the female loom clip won't be able to slot over, there is not enough clearance?

Does anyone know if some bulbs are longer at the back before the 90 degree bend.

There's a thread somewhere in the specs saying which bulbs are used in which light Scott.

I tried to swap from facelift to glass (uk spec) and my bulbs didn't fit. You have to use the uk bulbs. The electrical connector doesn't match the loom on the car on one of them too.

To be honest in the end i sent my glass ones back and ordered new facelift ones as my preference was the look of the facelift ones.

You'll have to move the facelift sidelight into the main light too and you can't by that bulb holder when i asked toyota. You'll have to block off one of sidelights that you don't use too i guess to seal the unit from moisture.

Cheers guy will try and get a pic.

Thinking about it I may have been a bit of a helmet! I had the bulb and uk light together away from the car and with the bulb fitted I was like this won't then take the connector.......I think what I'm missing is that with the bulb actually on the loom connector already (which I couldn't do as such with the light on the bench) it will probably be within the metal circle that would give the clearance issues....doh!
