MrGRT
Any one uses one of these? Just after a cheap way of reading TPS signal, diagnostic errors, etc. Before anyone comments, yes I know about joining tc1 a e1 below the dash
Mike2JZ
Generally OBD readers don't work with Supra. Most Jspec supra's are Japanese-OBD1 which are next to impossible to connect to unless you have specific gear. Many have tried and failed to connect, and even when you do connect the refresh rate on the data is so slow that it's annoying to read data whilst driving. Late facelift Supra's are OBD2 so you might have some luck with that.

Shane
There are ways to read OBD1 and glean useful info. My son bought a bluetooth reader for his 1UZ and we tried it on my Supra, worked fine.
rider
Has anyone ever plugged in a DLC2 adaptor into the under dash port and got any useful data with a handheld scanner? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/61D69etXzTL._AC_SL1001_.jpg

So if the 3 or 4 wires that the protocol uses are presented on the right pins on the adaptor and the hand held scanner you have reads from the diag port in the engine bay, then it will work.
