Guest Supra Doopa
Do you guys have any tips on finding a Uk spec supra non turbo? Im unable to get quoted on insuring a jap import. In the near future im going to be looking for one but my searches so far keep returning imports. Is the best bet to keep watching these forums or is it just a waiting game, as they dont come up very often?

Ian W
..haven't said that for a while!! to be honest i didn't know that either until i got hooked... will just have to keep an eye out for a UK TT mate but you're looking at least £8.5k for a half-decent one (members car on here for that btw)... Guest Supra Doopa
Think it was with 'smart people budget' let me quote a uk m reg 3.0 auto
Ian W
you made me doubt myself now!! am positive they'd be misquoting you though as there definitely was only a TT made for the UK... am sure one of the other members will confirm this for you but you'd really be looking for a TT if you wanted a UK car... oh, and i apologise (the £8.5k car being sold by a member on here is actually a jspec i think)... it is actually a UK... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=48694
GeordieSteve
Tis true. UK was TT only. NA was the mkiii

albundy68
get a TT UK doopa, even if there was a UK NA (which there isnt) the TT would be cheaper to insure if the japs are anything to go by, (just dont ask me why!!!)
GeordieSteve
I've got a turbo conversion, brakes, engine polishing, respray and transmission upgrade on mine.... so I'm not taking the Supra either lol
Ian W
too right albundy, if i could have afforded the car i would have went straight for the TT... but as i had less to spend on the car and am using it as a daily driver i went for the N/A... I just wish i was able to insure an import, i wouldnt have any problem then. Think im gonna pay the £10 membership and try getting covered by sky insurance.
