Matt 6
As the title says, I am getting a single clonk when I am reversing onto my driveway some nights. I pull up to the drive on full left hand lock and then switch to full right hand lock as I start to reverse back. As I reach full right I sometimes get a clonk from what sounds like the NSF. Any Ideas?? I also get the same sort of noise under very hard braking as the car comes to a stand-still.

Could be the pads moving the the caliper
Matt 6
Feels heavier than pads. Are Supra's common for any suspension bushes wearing out?
Terminator
Check front sub frame bolts, they are a service item that often gets over looked. This can some time happen when suspension components are torqued up without load in the suspension i.e. hub supported at normal road height full weight on hub. Could be a shock going /or gone
Matt 6
I will check the subframe mounts when I am rebuilding on Saturday at work.
Terminator
If you check out MKIV.com all the troque settings are there. Deep sockets required.
carl0s
also jack the car up from one of the crossmembers and check for vertical play on the wheels. Could be a knackered balljoint on the wishbone.
Matt 6
Fingures crossed I have found me noise and have fixed it It would appear to of been the 4 front bolts on the front subframe that were loose. I have managed to turn them about 1.5 turns to get them to 110Nm, not sure what the correct setting is but it sempt about right for that size of bolt/nut. psymon
I had exactly the same thing. One nut/bolt slightly loose by half turn. Sorted it for me....
