Crash Bandicoot
As per title, looking for an oem tt airbox. Facelift/vvti if it makes a difference. Let me know if your selling one. Thanks, Jay Edited July 12, 2019 by Crash Bandicoot (see edit history)
SPG
VVTi airboxes are different to the pre-facelift, best of luck with the search.
blythmrk
What exactly is the difference does anyone have a picture of a vvti one?
samdale
What exactly is the difference does anyone have a picture of a vvti one? This is my vvti box (after 2 years of searching for one!). You can see there's a big hole in the side of the outlet pipe that the MAF sensor bolts to.
Crash Bandicoot
Thanks for clearing that up for me Looks like this may take a while...
samdale
Sadly they are very rare. The amount coming over from Japan with induction kits fitted, I can only imagine that the streets are littered with discarded airboxes over there! To answer a few more FAQs, the UK/EU spec also has a MAF but has a completely different airbox arrangement. If you find a box like mine with a broken lid, the lid is a separate part and can still be had new from Toyota for ~£
