ellis
Went in to the local corner shop with my lad for a bit of post-tea chocolate and spotted a blast from the past - Caramac!! Didn't know they still made it! Took me back to when I was 10! Then I had a nostalgic trip and started thinking about other sweets and stuff from . . . well, a long time ago, that have vanished . . . Spangles, Gold Dust, Cresta (its Frothy Man!!) What else was there?
Pixelfill
hehe Caramac just recently round here Nestle have ventured into Caramac Kitkats. It's an interesting take on both chocolates. But gotta say neat Caramac is best, and you don't get enough in a single bar Mike
michael
Spangles came back a few years ago - they seem to have gone again now though. I'm like to see cans of 'Quatro' and supersize Coke come back so that I can wash down an Aztec bar and a packet of Hedgehog Crisps (or maybe some Baked Bean 'Piglets' - they were pretty cool). Does anyone remember Tudor Crisps and Wickers?
GeordieSteve
I love stuff like this. http://www.britishcandy.com/nostalgic_sweets_retro_candy1990.htm There's loads of shops online that do the old stuff
Terminator
Are Black Jacks still around. I remember queing in the sweet shop about 200 yards from my primary school to buy six pennies(£sd) worth. I think that got me 24.

Jake
I was telling somebody about Armadillo Sherry the other day. You used to take your own empty bottle along to the corner shop and they would fill it with this cheap sherry. It was pretty strong and tasted OK to me - but hey what would I know, I was only about 13 at the time. Anyone else remember Armadillo?
Pixelfill
You can apparently get Black Jacks and Fruit Salads from Geordie Steves link. I wish I hadn't gone there I want so much stuff. I'm like a kid at a sweet shop One thing concerns me though - if they've discontinued these from regular shops, when were these actually manufactured ???? I now want me a Fuse. I also remember going to the local pub and buying flagons of Cider to take away and having money back if you returned the bottles. Anyone know where I can get a 18" wagon wheel from ? Mike
Pixelfill
Caramac KitKats These are 99p for a 6 pack at the local Somerfield. Me thinks a premium is being charged Mike
Jake
Mike, Apparently the fact that we all think Wagon Wheels were much bigger when we were young is completely wrong. A guy fom the makers was on the radio a while back and he said that they have never been any bigger than they are today!

Jake
Normal TaB wasn't clear, was it? It was like Diet Coke but before Diet Coke. I think they did make 'TaB Clear' at one point but that was in addition to regular TaB. Or was that what you meant?
