I’ve found a Halfords: what coolant can I get from there please that would be suitable? Do you refill at the reservoir at the front of the engine bay, or into the radiator please? Dnk Posted July 7, 2019 Share Posted July 7, 2019 When its cool enough you fill the radiator where the rad cap fits and fill the reservoir where its cap fits, the rad should be full to its neck and the reservoir around 1/2 way to 3/4 Ethylene glycol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dnk Posted July 7, 2019 Share Posted July 7, 2019 When you've topped both up, run the engine with the rad cap off to help it bleed out any air, do it with the heater on max hot, have some rags around the rad neck as coolant will bubble out, needs to be hot enough to get the stat to open so around 80c, top the rad up and fit the cap Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dnk Posted July 7, 2019 Share Posted July 7, 2019 Check the pipe from the rad neck that goes to the reservoir is clear, also have a look at the rad cap, is it the original one ? they are a common cause of coolant problems, Halfords might have one and its a cheap part to replace Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
