Lining up seat rail after changing worm gears

Hi guys, any particular trick to making sure the seat rails line up after fitting new worm gears?

 

Can’t find a point which is the same on each rail to measure from.

 

One rail is actually 1cm longer then the other so finding it difficult to figure out how to line them up perfectly.

 

Any input appreciated.

 

Ps - if anyone can find the link to the old guide which was floating around on here of the process of swapping the worm gears that would be great, can’t seem to find it anywhere.
